The ComplyJet Agent is a lightweight background application that runs on your Windows machine. It performs read-only compliance checks (encryption, antivirus, screen lock settings) and securely reports results to your organization’s ComplyJet dashboard.
The agent:
Runs quietly in the system tray
Syncs automatically every 24 hours
Auto-updates in the background
Starts automatically when Windows restarts
Does not access your files or personal content
Step 1 – Start from the ComplyJet Dashboard
Go to your ComplyJet Dashboard
Log in to your ComplyJet account.
If you are an Admin, switch to Employee View (top-right).
Navigate to the Devices tab in the left sidebar.
Click Enroll a Device.
You will see the enrollment instructions modal.
Step 2 – Download the Windows Agent
Download the Installer
Inside the Enroll a Device modal:
Click Download for Windows.
A
.exefile will download to your system (usually in the Downloads folder).
You may see it in your browser’s Downloads panel.
Step 3 – Run the Installer
Open the Installer
Go to your Downloads folder.
Double-click the downloaded
.exefile.If prompted by Windows, click Run.
You will see the ComplyJet Agent Setup window.
Installation in Progress
The setup window will display:
Installing, please wait…
A progress bar will complete automatically.
No configuration is required during installation.
Desktop Shortcut
Once installed:
You may see a ComplyJet Agent icon on your desktop.
You can double-click it to launch the agent.
Step 4 – Launch the Agent
After installation:
Double-click the ComplyJet Agent icon.
The agent window will open.
You will see:
✅ ComplyJet Agent installed successfully
Enroll this device to start continuous compliance monitoring.
Step 5 – Enroll Your Device
Get the Enrollment Code
Go back to your browser.
In the Enroll modal, copy the Enrollment Code.
Paste the Enrollment Code
Paste the code into the Enrollment Link field in the agent.
Click Enroll Device.
Successful Enrollment
If successful, you will see:
✅ ComplyJet Agent successfully registered
Click Okay.
You will now see the device dashboard screen.
Step 6 – Verify Installation
After enrollment, you should see:
Device Overview
Device Name
Owner Name
Serial Number
Device Status
Agent: Installed
Last Connected: Just now
Compliance: Compliant or Non-Compliant
If Enrollment Fails,
You may see:
❌ Something went wrong. Please try again.
If this happens:
Check your internet connection
Re-copy the enrollment code
Close and reopen the agent
Restart your system
Contact ComplyJet Support if the issue persists
What Happens Next?
The agent automatically evaluates:
Hard Drive Encryption (BitLocker)
Screen Lock configuration
Antivirus presence
If any check fails:
Click the Compliance tab.
See which check failed.
Refer to the relevant help article.
Fix the configuration.
Click Sync now.
System Tray Behavior (Windows)
The ComplyJet Agent runs as a system tray application.
You will NOT see:
A persistent open window
A taskbar application running constantly
You WILL see:
A 🚀 Rocket icon (complyjet organge icon) in the bottom-right system tray
If you don’t see it:
Click the upward arrow ( ^ ) in the system tray.
Look for the ComplyJet rocket icon.
You can pin it for visibility.
Agent Menu Options Explained
Click the ⚙️ gear icon inside the agent window.
You’ll see:
ComplyJet Dashboard → Opens your dashboard
Download Logs → Exports diagnostic logs
Help → Opens support resources
Disconnect Device → Unenrolls this device
Quit Agent → Stops the agent for this session
Sync Behavior
The agent:
Automatically syncs every 24 hours
Syncs immediately when you click Sync now
Syncs right after enrollment
You do NOT need to manually sync daily.
Auto-Start & Auto-Update
The agent:
Automatically starts when Windows boots
Automatically installs updates
Requires no manual patching
If you restart your system:
The agent starts automatically
No reinstallation needed
Disconnecting the Device
To disconnect:
Open the agent.
Click the ⚙️ gear icon.
Select Disconnect Device.
This will:
Unenroll the device
Remove it from compliance reporting
You can re-enroll anytime using a new enrollment code.
Uninstalling the Agent (Windows)
To uninstall:
Quit the agent.
Go to Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a Program.
Locate ComplyJet Agent.
Click Uninstall.
You can reinstall anytime using the same steps above.
Logs & Troubleshooting
Click Download Logs from the gear menu.
This generates a log file containing:
Enrollment attempts
Sync attempts
Compliance scan results
osquery execution logs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
1. I installed the agent but don’t see it.
Check the bottom-right system tray (click the arrow icon).
2. My device shows Non-Compliant.
Click the Compliance tab to see which check failed.
Fix the configuration and click Sync now.
3. I changed a setting but status didn’t update.
Click Sync now or restart your computer.
4. Can I disable it temporarily?
Yes. Click Quit Agent.
It will restart when you reboot.
5. Does this slow down my computer?
No. The agent is lightweight and runs minimal read-only checks.
